If anyone has a good picture of the team, I would love to be able to post it.  Email a copy here.

Along with a good of friend of mine, I was fortunate enough to be asked to take the role of SERC (simulated emergency response competition) manager at this year's Canadian Lifeguard Championships in Kamloops.

I'd like to think that the competition ran smoothly and competitors were happy with it.  We're still waiting on National to release all of the official results (this is what I've been told anyway), so in the meantime I thought I would highlight a few things that happened.  This is a BC-based website, so a lot of the highlights are BC-based.  As soon as I get more, they will get posted.

Congratulations to all the teams for coming out, including the Kamloops team (home pool) who chose to use the National Championships as their first ever comp!!

New National Team Members

After very impressive performances throughout the competition, Private Marc Prud'homme (1 RCR) and Naval Cadet Teri Share (Royal Military College) from the Canadian Forces Lifesaving Team have both been asked to join the National Lifesaving Team who will be competing at Rescue 2006 in Australia.
