Sample Procedures
At the request of several NLS classes, I have posted a sample "How-To" guide for some common lifeguarding procedures. It should be noted that the following procedures are simply examples of how certain principles may be met. All pictures show simulated victims. There are numerous techniques that lifeguards from across the country and the world use that may be just as good or better as the examples shown here. Please take caution that this by no way is a list of "THE ONLY WAY TO DO THINGS." It should also be noted that simply reading or reviewing a procedure does not take the place of actually getting into the pool and practicing. Enjoy!
